Commissioner welcomes FINDS Annual Report for 2023/24

The Scottish Biometrics Commissioner, Dr Brian Plastow, has today welcomed the publication of the UK Forensic Information Databases Service (FINDS) Annual Report for 2023/24. The report includes important information on the operations of the UK National Fingerprint Database and the UK National DNA Database.

The report also highlights the important role that UK biometric data collections, such as DNA and fingerprints, provide to UK law enforcement, in EU-UK exchanges and in international law enforcement cooperation. The report can be accessed via the following link.
