Public attitudes to police use of biometric data (1)
In collaboration with Scottish Police Authority and Diffley Partnership, the Scottish Biometrics Commissioner has revisited public views on biometrics in Scotland.
Following initial polling conducted in 2021, the results from this 2025 survey suggest that there is maintained, and in some instances modest improvement, in levels of public confidence in the use of biometric data and technologies for policing and criminal justice purposes in Scotland.
