The SBC Commissioner gives evidence at the NI Assembly Committee for Justice
On Thursday 27 February the SBC Commissioner was invited to give evidence to the NI Committee for Justice in relation to the NI Justice Bill 2024. The Bill will introduce a new biometrics retention regime for the PSNI and the appointment of a Biometrics Commissioner for Northern Ireland.
The Commissioner attended session at the Stormont Estate to answered a variety of questions. The Commissioner also used the session to explained the importance getting the legislation correct and the value for the including of images.
